AI video generation
Connect the tools your video workflow needs
Understand the role of MCP in generation and editing before choosing a server.
Request consultingUnderstand the connection
MCP provides a way for a compatible host to interact with capabilities exposed by a server. In a video workflow, those capabilities might relate to generation, media inspection or editing. What is possible depends on the individual server, not simply on the presence of MCP support.
Keep the parts distinct: the host handles the interaction, the server exposes tools, and the underlying service or application performs the media work. A server using a vendor’s name is not necessarily published or endorsed by that vendor.
Evaluate the actual tools
Read the server’s source documentation and tool definitions. Establish which operations are available, what inputs they accept, where files go and whether a local application must be running. Confirm the host can connect using the supported transport.
The source library contains candidate integrations for video editing, hosted generation services and a local Resolve bridge. They are research leads. Their existence in an imported catalogue does not establish current availability, completeness or reliability.
Try a small end-to-end task
A useful first task is easy to inspect: process a short owned test clip, retrieve the result and check that the requested operation happened. For generation, confirm how the workflow reports a pending job and retrieves the completed asset.
Record installation prerequisites, credential handling, tool names, output location and the date tested. Publish those details with a worked example only after verification. Avoid presenting a copied install command as a completed integration guide.
